MODART international offers you an immersive experience in the world of luxury and haute couture. 

 

The summer session 2025 theme is about Christian Dior, its bold vision and the evolution of the fashion house through the view of its six successive artistic directors: Yves Saint Laurent, Marc Bohan, Gianfranco Ferré, John Galliano, Raf Simons and Maria Grazia Chiuri. 

 

MODART International proposes to retrace the heritage of the house “Christian Dior”, for more than 70 years.

  • 9:45am / 01:00pm > HISTORY of fashion: Christian Dior in his time. The 6 artistic directors of the house of Dior, from yesterday to nowadays

  • 9:15am > FASHION and Decorative Arts: Welcome to school and departure to the Museum of Decorative Arts (MAD), Paul Poiret exhibition, rue de Rivoli.
  • 2:00pm / 05:15pm > Fashion DESIGN, moodboard of the collection.

 

WEDNESDAY

 

  • 9:45am / 01:00pm > Fashion DESIGN, research sketches.
  • 2:00pm / 05:15pm > Fashion ILLUSTRATION, silhouettes and poses.

 

THURSDAY

 

  • 9:45am / 01:00pm > Fashion DESIGN, focus on iconic products, details drawings.
  • 2:00pm / 05:15pm > Fashion ILLUSTRATION, watercolor discovery and application.

 

FRIDAY

 

  • 9:45am / 01:00pm > Fashion DESIGN selection of products from the collection and composition of silhouette
  • 2:00pm / 05:30pm > Presentation of completed projects and delivery of MODART International certificates.
    Sharing experiences during the week and Gourmandises Parisiennes.

  • 9:45am / 01:00pm > PATTERN Making: discovery of the flat pattern technique
  • 02:00pm / 05:15pm > PATTERN Making: the making of the straight skirt (under) + the gathered petticoat (over) (part 1).

 

TUESDAY

 

  • 9:30am> Welcome – departure at 9:30am for the Saint Pierre market. TEXTILE sourcing and supplies.
  • 2:00pm / 05:15pm > SEWING technique: Study of the gathering technique on a sewing machine.

 

WEDNESDAY

 

  • 9:45am / 01:00pm > PATTERN Making: the making of the straight skirt (under) + the gathered petticoat (over).
  • 2:00pm / 05:15pm > PATTERN Making: the making of the straight skirt (under) + the gathered petticoat (over).

 

THURSDAY

 

  • 9:45am / 01:00pm > SEWING technique: Cutting the gathered skirt and sewing on a machine.
  • 2:00pm / 05:15pm > SEWING technique: Sewing the skirt on a machine.

 

FRIDAY

 

  • 9:00am / 01:00pm > Fashion PHOTO at EFET studio or Outside Eiffel Tower.
  • 2:00pm / 05:15pm > JURY Presentation of the skirts worn on Stockman busts to the jury and delivery of MODART certificates.

FEE CHARGES

  • Administration fees : €30 nonrefundable
  • Tuition fees for one summer module : €750
  • Fees decrease when applying for two modules : 2 modules summer 2025 : €1,350
  • Each module can be attended independently
