Master’s
in Artistic Direction and Collection Management
The Master’s in Artistic Direction and Collection Management at MODART is an in-depth program aimed at developing advanced skills in the fields of fashion creation, design, and fashion production. Through a perfect balance of theory and practical application, this two-year course enables students to gain comprehensive expertise in styling and pattern making. Real-life projects and collaborations with industry professionals help students develop their own creative identity while maintaining a realistic understanding of the fashion market.
The fourth year of study is punctuated by thematic seminars, alternating with the internship period. During these seminars, students create capsule wardrobes for men, women, as well as knitwear as part of collaborations with fashion houses.
This master’s program offers a complete education for those aspiring to become future leaders in the fashion industry.

THEMATIC SEMINARS
The fourth year of study is punctuated by thematic seminars, alternating with the internship period. During these seminars, students create capsule wardrobes for men, women, as well as knitwear as part of collaborations with fashion houses.
- Artistic crafts seminar: Experimentation with materials and discovery of exceptional know-how
- Collection management seminar: Creation of collaborative capsule wardrobes with fashion houses, trends and artistic direction, brand DNA, collection planning, merchandising
- Eco-friendliness seminar: Trends and artistic direction, eco-friendly materials sourcing; brand DNA, prototyping
- Virtual fashion seminar: Trends and artistic direction, creation of an avatar, 3D/ Marvellous Style, collection planning
- Brand creation seminar: Video research portfolio
7 seminars and e-learning classes: 210 hours of seminar classes
The aim is to enable the students to have the most efficient professional immersion, all the while transmitting the skills necessary to accomplish the various missions.
Seminars theme :
- Defining trends: Creating a portfolio
- Creating your own collection: Creating silhouettes and fabrics sourcing listing all of the materials necessary for the manufacture of the collection
- Managing the production of a collection
- Promoting a collection: Creating a photo book, creating a communication campaign aimed at traditional media and social media in anticipation for the sale and promotion of the collection
E-learning courses are added to each competency block.
ASSESSMENT METHODS
Skills and knowledge are evaluated equally, with two distinct methods: continuous assessment and end-of-term examinations.
Continuous assessment is conducted throughout the teaching period. It may consist of knowledge tests, practical cases, research assignments, and/or oral presentations to produce alone or as a group.
End-of-term examinations are scheduled outside of regular class sessions. If applicable, they may consist in several types of exercises: presenting a case study, carrying out a project, writing an activity report and/or a dissertation, or a placing the student in a simulated professional setting.
